Increases the jurisdictional limit for Mississippi justice courts from $3,500 to $5,000 for civil cases involving debt recovery, damages, or personal property disputes

Maintains the existing prohibition on justice court judges having any financial interest in case outcomes once a suit has been filed

Amends Section 9-11-9 of the Mississippi Code of 1972

Effective date of July 1, 2022
