Replaces the previous compensation system (per diem of $67/meeting up to 36 meetings or annual salary of $2,400) with a tiered annual salary structure effective July 1, 2022

Establishes school board member salaries based on district enrollment as of October 1 each year: $3,600 (up to 5,000 students), $4,200 (5,000-10,000 students), $4,800 (10,000-20,000 students), $5,400 (20,000-30,000 students), and $6,000 (over 30,000 students)

School board members remain ineligible for state employee group insurance, retirement, or other fringe benefits

Members who miss 20% or more of board meetings must reimburse the district a proportionate amount of their salary, with school board presidents required to report attendance violations to the State Board of Education by February 1 annually
