Amends Section 25-31-39 of Mississippi Code to allow district attorneys to employ one or more part-time legal assistants, subject to availability of funds from any source

Part-time legal assistants serve at the will and pleasure of the district attorney and must assist in performing the duties of the district attorney's office

Part-time legal assistants are prohibited from engaging in the private practice of law while employed in this position

Part-time legal assistants must meet the same qualifications and are subject to the same removal provisions as outlined in Section 25-31-6

Effective date of July 1, 2022, with a repeal date of June 30, 2022 (note: this appears to be a drafting error in the bill text)
