Amends Section 25-41-7 of the Mississippi Code to require public bodies to invite members of their legislative advisory or oversight committees to remain present during executive sessions, if those members are present at the meeting.

Applies to all executive sessions held by public bodies, which currently require an affirmative vote of three-fifths of members present to declare and must be limited to specific exempted matters.

Does not change existing requirements for executive sessions, including the need for open meetings to commence first, reasons for which sessions may be held, or recording procedures.

Becomes effective July 1, 2022.
