Amends Section 37-13-107 of Mississippi Code to require school attendance officers to attend comprehensive legal training on the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 sponsored by the Office of Special Education.

Training must enable school attendance officers to understand the legal rights of children with disabilities under IDEA and Section 504.

Training must educate officers on proper policies, procedures, and requirements for reporting children with potential disabilities to school districts to ensure compliance with "child find" legal obligations under federal and state IDEA regulations.

Attendance at the training is required beginning with the first training seminar conducted after a school attendance officer is employed.

Effective date is July 1, 2022.
