Prohibits the State of Mississippi, political subdivisions, and public colleges and universities from discriminating against or granting preferential treatment to any individual or group

Protected categories include race, sex, gender, sexual orientation, color, ethnicity, and national origin

Applies specifically to three areas: public employment, public education, and public contracting

Effectively bans affirmative action programs in state government and public higher education

Effective date of July 1, 2022
