Amends Section 99-1-5 of the Mississippi Code to remove the phrase "of a child" from sexual battery offenses, making the statute of limitations for sexual battery consistent with rape (no time limit for prosecution)

Sexual battery as described in Section 97-3-95 now falls under crimes with no statute of limitations, matching the treatment of rape prosecutions

Removes the previous limitation that sexual battery of a child could only be prosecuted under certain subsections (1)(c), (d) or (2)

Takes effect July 1, 2022
