Requires the Mississippi Department of Public Safety to create and maintain a publicly accessible centralized database for real-time jail census data from all county sheriffs' departments across the state

Mandates uniform reporting standards for jail dockets including: detainee name (or initials for minors), sex, race, date of birth, arrest date, arresting agency, offenses charged, bond amounts, indictment date, arraignment date, guilty plea date, and whether charges are felonies or misdemeanors

Prohibits the state from requiring sheriffs to purchase additional hardware or software; the state must bear costs of any data conversion from existing jail tracking systems

Requires the Department of Information Technology Services, Department of Public Safety, and Administrative Office of Courts to submit a report by September 1, 2022 to PEER staff recommending the most cost-effective implementation options

Amends existing jail docket requirements to ensure compliance with the new uniform reporting standards and increase criminal justice transparency in accordance with Rule 8 of the Mississippi Rules of Criminal Procedure
