MS SB2300

Authorizes Election Integrity Assurance Committees to directly conduct primary elections when county or municipal executive committees fail to perform their duties within 60 days of an election, rather than just contracting with election officials on their behalf

Prohibits members of Election Integrity Assurance Committees from receiving any compensation, in-kind donations, gifts, or any other form of payment for conducting required training or primary elections

Removes the previous provision that expressly prohibited state executive committees or congressional district election assurance committees from conducting primaries

Requires circuit or municipal clerks to notify the Election Integrity Assurance Committee chair when local executive committees fail to attend training or perform required election duties

Effective date of July 1, 2022
