Amends Section 9-13-25, Mississippi Code of 1972, to require court reporters to provide transcripts upon request of the court or judicial hearing officer in proceedings where the state bears the cost of the court reporter.

Applies to all proceedings, hearings, or trials before state courts, state boards, or state agencies funded by the state.

Makes gender-neutral language changes to existing statute by replacing masculine pronouns with "the court reporter."

Maintains existing requirements for court reporters to attend court sessions, take stenographic notes, and prepare transcripts upon party request for appeal purposes.

Takes effect July 1, 2022.
