State executive committees of political parties may set filing fees for candidates seeking party nominations for Governor ($1,000-$5,000), Lieutenant Governor and other statewide offices ($500-$2,500), U.S. Senator ($1,000-$5,000), U.S. Representative ($500-$2,500), and presidential preference primary ($2,500-$25,000)

Filing fees for state legislators, district attorneys, and county offices remain fixed by statute, ranging from $100 to $250 depending on the position

Executive committees may only adjust fees for any individual office once every two years and must report fee amounts to the Secretary of State by October 1 of the year before the election

Secretary of State must publish all filing fees at least 45 days before the qualifying period begins for each office

Executive committees may use qualifying fees received from presidential candidates to pay committee member travel expenses, other necessary expenses, and secretary salaries
