Violations constitute a misdemeanor with escalating fines: $50 for first offense, $500 for second offense, and $2,500 for third or subsequent offenses

Exempts household sales of personally-owned mattresses not acquired for resale purposes

Exempts sales by 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and sales made pursuant to court orders

Effective date of July 1, 2022
