Authorizes the Mississippi Department of Corrections to establish the Inmate Incentive to Work Program providing payment to eligible inmates in state correctional facilities for various work positions requiring different skill levels.

Creates the "Inmate Incentive to Work Program Fund" to be maintained by a bank selected by the Department of Corrections Commissioner and funded by a portion of the Inmate Welfare Fund, with a maximum balance of $1,000,000.

Excludes inmates unable to work or in cell confinement from program eligibility; grants the department authority to adopt rules and regulations regarding program eligibility and payment amounts.

Amends Section 47-5-158 of the Mississippi Code to establish the new fund and authorize deposits from the Inmate Welfare Fund to support inmate wage payments under the program.

Becomes effective July 1, 2022.
