Changes the percentage of fees in lieu of ad valorem taxes counted toward required local revenue for school districts from 100% to 50% under Section 27-31-104.

Modifies subsection (2)(c) of Section 37-151-7, Mississippi Code of 1972, which determines how much local revenue school districts must contribute to the Mississippi Adequate Education Program (MAEP).

Affects the calculation of required state effort in support of the adequate education program by reducing the local revenue sources available to offset state funding obligations.

Effective July 1, 2022.
