Local school boards may choose to process payroll for all employees either monthly or bimonthly, eliminating the previous distinction that required monthly payroll for licensed employees while only allowing semimonthly payroll for nonlicensed employees

Standard contracts for school district employees must provide for equal monthly or bimonthly salary installments beginning in the first month of employment, regardless of days worked in any particular month

Employees who fail to complete their contractual obligations and received overpayment must repay the excess amount plus interest at the current Stafford Loan rate

School districts must use electronic funds transfer for payroll and direct deposit for net pay for all employees
