Creates the "District of Innovation Task Force of 2022" to study and evaluate Mississippi's Districts and Schools of Innovation program, including whether these schools achieved goals such as enhanced learning, innovative instruction, reduced achievement gaps, and increased student engagement

Task force will examine specific innovations including modified school calendars, unique curricula, early college and dual enrollment opportunities, and technology use to address staffing shortages

Composed of 11 members including the State Superintendent, Director of Educational Accountability, two school superintendents, two school administrators, a school business administrator, a State Board of Education member, and three Teacher of the Year recipients appointed by the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Speaker of the House

State Department of Education must provide administrative support, and non-state employee members may receive per diem compensation and expense reimbursement subject to appropriation

Task force must submit findings and legislative recommendations to the Lieutenant Governor, Speaker of the House, and Education Committee chairs by November 1, 2022, after which it dissolves; effective date July 1, 2022
