Eliminates the requirement for saltwater shrimp boat captains to purchase a separate "captain license" from the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources, which previously cost a minimum of $10.00

Removes the mandate for freight boats, ice boats, and catching boats to register the captain's name when obtaining annual privilege licenses for saltwater shrimp operations

Maintains existing annual privilege license fees for commercial shrimp vessels: $50-$100 for residents and $100-$200 for nonresidents, depending on vessel length

Preserves recreational shrimping license requirements at $15 for residents and $30 for nonresidents for vessels using nets with corkline length of 16 feet or less

Effective date of July 1, 2022
