Authorizes sheriffs to enter into written agreements with federally recognized Indian tribes having trust lands in Mississippi to appoint tribal law enforcement officers as auxiliary deputies to enforce state laws.

Tribal law enforcement officers appointed as auxiliary deputies are not required to meet state law enforcement certification requirements under Title 45, Chapter 11 of the Mississippi Code.

Clarifies that appointing tribal law enforcement officers as deputies does not subject them to state licensure or certification standards.

The appointment of tribal officers as auxiliary deputies is optional and does not limit any existing sheriff authority to appoint deputy sheriffs.
