Amends Section 45-3-41 of Mississippi Code to allow counties and municipalities with 24-hour law enforcement systems to request the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol allow programming of the patrol's primary dispatch frequency or talk group channel into local radio equipment for interoperability purposes.

Removes the requirement that the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol purchase and install dedicated radio receiving sets in county and municipal buildings.

Shifts responsibility to counties and municipalities to program their own radio equipment to receive broadcasts from Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol radio stations operating in their jurisdiction.

Eliminates the requirement for counties and municipalities to reimburse the state highway patrol for equipment costs previously mandated under the prior statute.

Takes effect July 1, 2022.
