Amends Mississippi Code Section 23-15-309 to address municipal primary election candidate qualifying deadlines when annexation occurs.

Requires candidates to pay a $10 filing fee to the municipal clerk at least 60 days before the first primary election, with the deadline remaining unchanged even if the municipality annexes unincorporated area within 90 days of the election.

Allows candidates to file on the business day immediately following the deadline if it falls on a Sunday or legal holiday.

Requires the municipal clerk to maintain detailed records of all filing fees received, including candidate name, party affiliation, and office sought, and to distribute funds to the appropriate municipal executive committee.

Takes effect July 1, 2022.
