Allows any person who has served as a resident trainee for not less than five (5) years under a licensed funeral service supervisor in a licensed Mississippi establishment as of July 1, 2022 to automatically receive a funeral service license without examination.

Maintains existing licensing requirements for funeral service practitioners, including high school diploma, 12+ months of accredited funeral service education, 12+ months of resident trainee experience, and passage of the National Conference of Funeral Examiners examination.

Maintains existing licensing requirements for funeral directing practitioners, including high school diploma and 24+ months of resident trainee experience under a licensed supervisor.

Effective date is July 1, 2022.
