Board certified occupational therapists who have acquired certification from the National Board Certification of Occupational Therapy and are employed by local school boards or state agencies under the State Personnel Board become eligible for a $6,000 annual salary supplement plus fringe benefits

Occupational therapists must submit certification documentation to the State Department of Education before October 15 for the full supplement, or before February 15 for a prorated supplement starting in the second term

Occupational therapists become eligible for reimbursement of certification costs, up to $500 per component for up to four components, regardless of whether certification is awarded

Employees may only receive the $6,000 supplement for one qualifying national certification, even if they hold multiple certifications
