Prohibits the use of reverse auctions for public contracts involving the improvement, repair, or remodeling of any public facilities under Mississippi's public purchasing law

Expands the existing reverse auction prohibition, which already covered design and construction of public facilities (buildings, roads, bridges), to now include repairs, remodeling, and related purchases of materials, supplies, equipment, or goods

Reverse auctions remain the primary required method for other state purchasing bids over $50,000, with exceptions requiring Public Procurement Review Board approval

Amends Section 31-7-13 of the Mississippi Code of 1972

Effective date: July 1, 2022
