Appropriates $60,000 from the State General Fund for outside legal defense expenses in the federal court case Mississippi Immigrants Rights Alliance and League of Women Voters of Mississippi v. Michael Watson, et al. in the U.S. Court for the Southern District of Mississippi, Northern Division, Civil Action No. 3:19-CV-00831-CWR-FKB

Funds are designated to cover legal assistance for defendants not represented by the Office of the Attorney General, including the Secretary of State and circuit clerks from Leake, Jones, Jackson, Scott, Harrison, and Hinds Counties

Appropriation is for fiscal year 2022, effective from passage of the act through June 30, 2022, subject to approval by the Office of the Attorney General

Payment shall be made by the State Treasurer upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal Officer in accordance with law
