Extends the repeal date from July 1, 2022 to July 1, 2026 for the City of Horn Lake's authority to levy a hotel and motel room rental tax

The tax cannot exceed $2.00 per overnight room rental and is used to promote the city's tourism and economic development

Tax excludes charges for food, telephone, laundry, beverages, and day meeting rooms not used for overnight sleeping

Requires 60% voter approval in an election before the tax can be imposed, with a petition process allowing residents to challenge continuation of the tax

Tax revenue must be kept in a special fund separate from general city funds and audited annually by an independent certified public accountant
