Appropriates $8,848,242 from the State General Fund and $4,428,761 from special funds to the State Department of Audit for fiscal year 2023 (July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023)

Authorizes 164 permanent positions for conducting audits and investigations of state and county public offices

Sets performance targets including recovering $600,000 in embezzled/misspent funds, completing 10 performance audit reports, and handling 6,200 technical assistance inquiries

Allocates $200,000 for the Accountancy Fellowship Program, $100,000 for IT equipment from the Capital Expense Fund, and $30,000 for employee CPA Review Course fees

Limits funds from the Federal Equitable Sharing Program to $1,000,000 for nonbudgeted law enforcement purposes by the Office of the State Auditor
