Extends legislative recognition to Myrna Colley-Lee as the 2022 Governor's Arts Award recipient for Excellence in Costume Design and Arts Patron.

Myrna Colley-Lee is an internationally known costume designer who began her career in the late 1960s and has worked in theatre, film, and as an arts advocate across the United States.

Holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education from the University of North Carolina and a Master of Fine Arts in Scenic and Costume Design from Temple University; received an Honorary Doctorate of Creative Arts Degree from Mississippi State University.

Has received numerous awards including Outstanding Costume Design from the National Black Theatre Festival and the Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters Lifetime Achievement Award; her costume collection is held permanently by the Mississippi State University Library.

As a longtime Charleston resident in Tallahatchie County, served as founding member of Son-Edna and Charleston Arts and Revitalization Effort, long-standing Mississippi Arts Commission board member, and current board member of the Mississippi Museum of Art and National Board for the Center for Art and Public Exchange.
