Commends the Pride of DeSoto Central High School Marching Band for winning the 2021 MHSAA Class 6A Marching Band Championship held on November 1, 2021

Recognizes Director Dennis Cox, who has led the band program for 22 years, along with Assistant Directors Devin Burgess, Tyler Hart, and Jocelyn Hembruch

The band comprises over 130 students from Olive Branch, Southaven, and Nesbit, Mississippi, with the total band program serving approximately 500 students in grades 6-12

In 17 years, the band has earned 342 "Superior" ratings, 94 "Grand Champion Awards," five Mississippi Marching Band State Championships, and performed at nationally recognized events including the Indy 500 Parade (2012, 2019) and Hollywood Christmas Parade

Directs that the resolution be presented to Director Dennis Cox and Principal Cliff Johnston and forwarded to the DeSoto County Board of Education
