Commends Dean Patricia Bennett on her retirement from Mississippi College School of Law in June 2022 after three decades of leadership and service

Recognizes her legal career including service as Assistant District Attorney for Hinds and Yazoo Counties, Special Assistant Attorney General, Judge Advocate Officer in the U.S. Army Reserve and Mississippi National Guard, and Assistant United States Attorney

Acknowledges her teaching career beginning in 1989 at Mississippi College School of Law, including courses in Trial Practice, Criminal Law, and Mediation, as well as visiting professorships at Harvard Law School, Emory Law School, and University of Arkansas at Little Rock Law School

Notes her service as President of The Mississippi Bar from July 2017 to July 2018 and her role leading the law school through successful ABA accreditation review and COVID-19 challenges

Extends wishes for a long and healthy retirement and directs the resolution be presented to Dean Bennett, the law school, and Mississippi College Board of Trustees
