Commends and congratulates the Summer Field Program at the University of Southern Mississippi's Gulf Coast Research Laboratory on its 75th anniversary in 2022.

Recognizes that the Summer Field Program was inaugurated in 1947 by the Mississippi Academy of Sciences and led to the creation of the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory in 1950.

Notes the program has grown from two initial classes to include 63 college and university affiliates from 19 states, providing intensive field and lab-based coastal science education.

Recognizes the achievements of current and past faculty and staff and encourages continued superior academic programming and education of future scientists.

Directs presentation of the resolution to the Director of the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory for distribution and availability to the Capitol Press Corps.
