Commemorates the 150th Anniversary of the founding of McComb, Mississippi, chartered by the state in 1872 when Colonel H.S. McComb of the New Orleans, Jackson and Great Northern Railroad Company purchased land for railroad expansion.

Recognizes McComb's historical development, including Captain J.J. White's lumber mill operations in 1873 and the McComb Ice Company, which at its peak produced 200 tons of ice per day and was the largest single unit ice factory in the world.

Notes McComb's current economy is diverse with a major regional healthcare center, retail trade center, fine dining, and renewed downtown development, and serves as an important transportation hub for Interstate 55 and US Highway 98.

Highlights McComb's amenities including a regional library system, excellent public schools, over fifty active churches, two hospitals with more than ninety physicians, and a Heart Center and Cancer Center.

Directs presentation of the resolution to the Mayor and City Council of McComb and the McComb Chamber of Commerce.
