Commends and congratulates the Brookhaven Academy "Lady Cougars" Softball Team for winning the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools (MAIS) 5A State Championship on October 9, 2021.

The Lady Cougars defeated Silliman Institute 9-5 in game three of the championship series, after winning game one at home and losing game two at Silliman's field in Clinton, Louisiana.

Recognizes Head Coach Becky Flowers, Assistant Coach Lisa Covington, 16 student-athletes on the roster, and team managers for their achievement and honor to Brookhaven Academy and the State of Mississippi.

Directs that the resolution be presented to Coach Becky Flowers, forwarded to Brookhaven Academy Headmaster Jason Case and the Board of Trustees, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
