Recognizes Chief Wayne H. Payne, the first Chief of Police for the City of D'Iberville, on the occasion of his retirement.

Acknowledges Payne's career progression including 30 years with Gulfport Police Department, service as Chief of Police for Long Beach and Gulfport, and nine years leading D'Iberville Police Department since 2007.

Recognizes his management of D'Iberville Police Department with 38 sworn officers and 44 total employees serving approximately 50,000 residents, with an annual budget of approximately $3.1 million.

Notes Payne's nine years on the Executive Board of the Mississippi Association of Chief of Police, including five years as Southern Vice President.

Directs the resolution be presented to Chief Payne, forwarded to the City of D'Iberville, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
