Recognizes Dr. Rush's founding of the Rush Orthopaedic Program at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi, where he practiced for 38 years and performed over 20,000 surgeries

Acknowledges his establishment of the Rush Sports Medicine Team in 1987, which supported over 40 high schools and colleges in Mississippi and West Alabama

Notes his founding of Rush Sports Medicine Research and Development in 1992, where he patented protective technologies including helmets and concussion sensors for young athletes

Directs the resolution be presented to his family and forwarded to the Board of Trustees of Rush Memorial Hospital
