Commends and congratulates the Alcorn State University "Braves" Men's Basketball Team and Head Coach Landon Bussie for winning the 2022 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Regular Season Championship, the first title in 20 years.

Team defeated University of Arkansas–Pine Bluff 100-77 on March 6, 2022, with five players scoring in double figures, led by Keondre Montgomery's 21 points off the bench.

Braves shot 80.6% from the field (41-of-63) and 75% from three-point range (9-of-17), dominating the first half with a 63-36 lead at intermission.

Resolution directs that copies be presented to Head Coach Landon Bussie, Interim Athletic Director Cyrus Russ, President Felecia M. Nave, the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
