Commends the Pascagoula High School Navy JROTC Air Rifle Team for winning State and Regional titles and qualifying for the All-Service JROTC National Championship.

Team finished in sixth place at the Navy Air Rifle National Championship, where only the top 24 teams of 620 Navy JROTC units nationwide qualified.

Key team members Samuel Nason and Dayanara Lopez each scored 537, Diego Ramos scored 534, and Haleiana Jones scored 520, with Lopez achieving a personal best of 193 out of 200 in the kneeling position.

Coach Greg Goley, a retired Navy Master Chief, noted the air rifle program was established approximately four years ago and emphasizes focus and high expectations for student athletes.

Resolution directs presentation of commendation to Coach Goley and Principal Dr. Caterria B. Payton, with forwarding to the Pascagoula School Board and Capitol Press Corps.
