Amends Mississippi Code Section 33-15-11 to limit state of emergency proclamations declared by the Governor to a maximum of 30 days without legislative extension.

Requires the Governor to obtain a specific legislative enactment to extend a state of emergency beyond the initial 30-day period.

Changes the review requirement for emergency impact area declarations from every 30 days to every 14 days, with the Governor required to proclaim termination or reduction at the earliest possible date.

Maintains the Governor's existing emergency management powers while adding a legislative check on the duration of emergency declarations.

Takes effect July 1, 2023.
