Amends Section 47-5-541 to allow the Board of Directors of Mississippi Prison Industries to set supplemental compensation for the chief executive officer when that officer also serves as the Mississippi Department of Corrections Deputy Commissioner for Workforce Development.

Brings forward Section 47-5-535 establishing legislative intent that a nonprofit corporation manage prison industry programs with exclusive rights to operate such programs at state correctional facilities.

Brings forward Section 47-5-539 defining key terms including "chief executive officer," "corporation," "department," "inmate," and "prison industry program" for purposes of the Mississippi Prison Industries Act.

Brings forward Section 47-5-547 authorizing the corporation to establish training and auxiliary programs in partnership with community colleges and state institutions of higher learning.

Sets repeal date of July 1, 2024 for the Mississippi Prison Industries Act and the Prison Industry Enhancement Program, with the act itself taking effect July 1, 2023.
