Clarifies that only individuals employed by local school districts (not the State Department of Education) who provide services in the capacity for which they are nationally certified are eligible for the $6,000 annual salary supplement.

Adds licensed school psychologists with National Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) certification to the list of eligible professionals for the $6,000 annual salary supplement, with retroactive eligibility to July 1, 2022.

Expands the list of professionals eligible for reimbursement (up to $500 per component, maximum four components) to include school nurses, certified academic language therapists, and licensed athletic trainers.

Removes eligibility for State Department of Education employees to receive national certification salary supplements across all categories of certified professionals.

Takes effect July 1, 2023.
