Requires the State of Mississippi and political subdivisions to compensate law enforcement officers classified as nonexempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) at their regular hourly rate for the first 43 hours per week, 86 hours per two-week period, or 171 hours per 28-day period.

Permits compensatory time in lieu of pay for these hours on an hour-for-hour basis, with earned compensatory time guaranteed not to be lost and must be granted off with pay or compensated at the officer's current hourly rate.

Requires payment for earned compensatory time upon separation of employment based on the officer's current regular hourly rate at that time.

Mandates compliance with FLSA requirements for any hours worked in excess of the specified thresholds (43 weekly, 86 bi-weekly, or 171 in 28-day periods).

Effective July 1, 2023.
