Amends Section 89-1-23 to prohibit aliens and governments of foreign countries from acquiring title to, taking, or holding any land, leasehold interest, or real estate in Mississippi by descent, devise, purchase, or otherwise.

Repeals previous exceptions that allowed resident aliens to acquire and hold land and nonresident aliens to acquire up to 320 acres for industrial development or 5 acres for residential purposes.

Retains exception for U.S. citizens and allows persons who became aliens through marriage to a foreign citizen to inherit and hold property without escheat to the state.

Brings forward Sections 11-31-1, 11-39-3, and 85-3-41 of the Mississippi Code for possible amendment related to attachment proceedings and property exemptions.

Takes effect July 1, 2023.
