Prohibits candidates, political committees, and other persons from publishing campaign materials containing the word "re-elect" or similar words unless the materials are for the incumbent currently holding that office.

Defines "campaign materials" as any materials designed to influence voters regarding candidates, parties, or measures that are paid for by candidates, political committees, or independent expenditures requiring disclosure under campaign finance laws.

Defines "publish" to include making campaign materials available to the public through mail, telephone, electronic platforms, internet, software applications, printed materials, or any other distribution method.

Requires campaign materials to identify either the candidate approving the message, the person or entity paying for publication, or the entity producing the materials.

Takes effect July 1, 2023.
