Appropriates $41,000,000 from the Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery Fund to the Department of Environmental Quality for the Mississippi Municipality and County Water Infrastructure Grant Program

Funding covers the period from passage of the act through June 30, 2024

Requires the department to verify each expenditure complies with federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) guidelines before disbursing funds to recipients

Recipients must certify they have not received and will not receive reimbursement for the same expenses from other sources, including insurance proceeds

If federal inspectors determine funds were used improperly and Mississippi must repay the federal government, the department or recipient responsible for the improper use must reimburse the state
