Imposes a $3.50 tax on each motor vehicle charged at a public access electric vehicle charging station in Mississippi

Defines "alternative-fuel fueling station" as metered-for-fee, public access recharging systems for vehicles propelled wholly or partially by electricity

Requires charging station owners/operators to collect the tax at the time of charging and remit proceeds to the Department of Revenue

Revenue will be distributed among the same purposes as gasoline and diesel fuel taxes, in the same proportions as the previous fiscal year

Effective date of July 1, 2023
