Requires all individual and group health insurance policies, service contracts, self-insured plans, and managed health care entities covering radiation oncology to include coverage for physician-prescribed proton beam therapy for cancer treatment as recommended by the American Society for Radiation Oncology, effective July 1, 2023.

Applies the proton beam therapy coverage requirement to the State and School Employees Health Insurance Plan.

Amends Section 25-15-9 of the Mississippi Code to explicitly require the state employees health insurance plan to provide coverage for proton therapy for treatment of cancer as specified in the act.

Takes effect July 1, 2023.
