Increases minimum compensation for indigent counsel in circuit court cases from $1,000 to $3,000 per case, and for non-record cases from $200 to $1,500 per case.

Raises minimum compensation for capital cases with two appointed attorneys from $2,000 to $4,000 per case.

Increases minimum compensation for appellate cases to the state supreme court from $1,000 to $3,000 per case.

Brings forward statutes regarding public defender compensation (Section 25-32-5) and judge and district attorney salaries (Section 25-3-35) for amendment purposes, including judicial salary increases effective January 1, 2023.

Takes effect July 1, 2023.
