Extends the existing county elected officer removal process to municipal elected officers, allowing the Governor to remove any elective municipal officer through the same procedures outlined in Sections 25-5-3 through 25-5-37

Requires removal petitions for municipal officers to be signed by at least 30% of qualified electors in the municipality, with signatures verified by the municipal registrar

Creates a removal council of three municipal judges (appointed by the Governor from outside the district) to determine whether sufficient cause exists to hold a removal election for municipal officers

Grants municipal courts jurisdiction over all cases regarding removal of elective municipal officers, including hearing election contests and appeals

Requires removal elections where a majority of qualified municipal electors must vote, and a majority of those voting must support removal for the officer to be removed from office; takes effect July 1, 2023
