Expands definition of "director" to include the head of any state or local law enforcement agency, rather than limiting it to the Director of the Bureau of Narcotics.

Adds human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation of children to the list of felony offenses for which wiretapping orders may be authorized.

Extends wiretapping authority from the Bureau of Narcotics to all state and local law enforcement agencies.

Updates reporting requirements to specify that all law enforcement agencies must report wiretap statistics to the Administrative Office of the United States Courts and the Mississippi Administrative Office of Courts.

Effective date: July 1, 2023.
