Amends Mississippi Code Section 63-3-519 to authorize the sheriff of Rankin County and deputies to use radar speed detection equipment on county public roads, streets, and highways outside incorporated municipal areas.

Requires the Rankin County Board of Supervisors to obtain voter approval before radar authorization becomes effective; the question must be submitted to qualified electors at a regularly scheduled or special election.

Election procedures include publishing notice once weekly for at least three consecutive weeks in a county newspaper, with ballots containing a statement of the proposition and options to vote for or against sheriff radar use authority.

Radar authorization becomes effective only if a majority of qualified electors voting in the election approve the proposition; if rejected, the provision does not apply in Rankin County.

Takes effect July 1, 2023.
