Amends Section 93-5-1 of the Mississippi Code to increase the grounds for divorce from twelve to thirteen causes.

Removes the requirement of "willful and obstinate" language from the desertion ground, changing it to "continued desertion for one (1) year."

Adds a new thirteenth ground for divorce allowing either party to obtain a divorce upon court finding that the marriage has irretrievably broken down and further reconciliation attempts are impractical, futile, or not in the best interests of the parties or family.

Effective July 1, 2023.
